OK. I know it has been awhile since my last post. Every time I have literally sat down to get on the computer, one of the kiddos would need me to do something and that was that. I hope to catch up on everyone's blogs this weekend. So.....the girls and I have always been busy "trick-or-treating" on Halloween in the past. We would take our time, eat out for lunch and such.....it was a great thing with no school and all. This year was a new experience...... I was at the school 3 times!!! Let me walk "write" you through our day........
Nat was able to wear her costume all day at school. She was a fairy. I made her bow, wand and candy bag. I'll talk about my hot glue incident on another post....
I did add silver polka dots to her wings to match her silver shoes. There is glitter all over the house, the car and probably the school. Nat says it's pixie dust.
Elerz went as her favorite character, Minnie Mouse. She was so happy. Yes, I made her candy bag too. Her glitter shoes are hand-me downs that were Nat's when she was 2. Nat's feet were a little bigger than Elerz, so I stuffed the toes with paper towels to make them fit. Elerz has a little bit of a runny nose and at one point she sneezed, sat down, took one of her shoes off, pulled out a paper towel, wiped her nose on the paper towel and stuffed it back in her shoe. What a gross/smart idea?!
Elerz wanted a picture taken of her looking over her shoulder, just like big sis!!!
The Halloween parade was in the morning at school. Scott's parents came over to watch.
All the teachers dressed up, which was really fun! These ladies are the speech/reading teachers. They are dressed like pinkalicious! (that's a children's book character.)
Here is Nat's teacher. The kindergarten teachers were "rock'n in their school shoes!" Like from the book, Pete the Cat. All the teachers had different colored shoes. I didn't get a pic of the 2nd grade teachers, but they were dressed as Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. So cute!!
Nat smiling so big! I think she was a little embarrassed during the parade though.
The class party was in the afternoon. You can tell that most of us are first time school parents. The kiddos were in food/treats overload. We might want to think about simplifying for the Christmas party.
After school, we met up with Scott at his work and the girls filled their bags!
We finished up around 4:30. Sorry no pics, I was starting to wear-down and Elerz did not get a nap and blah..blah......
Around 6pm I did take Nat up and down our street for official trick or treating and then she and Elerz helped hand out candy at our house. The girls loved the day and had so much fun!!!!!
