Our lot!!

Here is our lot!! Hopefully in the next week or so our house will be under construction. We closed on our house this morning, so we are now officially renters (of our own house). We are happy and thankful that we do not have to move more than once.

Natalyn's birthday!!

On Wednesday, Natalyn turned 5!!! I can't believe it!!

She is such a sweet and amazing little girl. She woke up on Wednesday to inform me that "she is 5 now. She was already 4!" Boo-hoo!!

So..........another year older.....what's a girl to do??? Go to the nail salon-that's what!

This was Natalyn's first time. She LOVED it! Looks like Scott will just have to add this to his monthly budget!haha

....

Then back to the house to open some presents. Natalyn loves to play dress-up and to do arts-n-crafts. She was super excited to get new dress-up outfits so she can create new fashions. The new craft projects will keep her busy for hours.For about 6 months now, Natalyn has been wanting a Barbie House. But they are $150!!! Last Thursday, my friend Rachel called me from the Associate store and said there was one (unopened!) for $75. I told her TO GET IT!!!

Opening presents can really make a girl hungry. Natalyn decided that she wanted to go to P.F. Changs. ( I like to call this place Puff Daddy Changs-but that's just how I roll-ha)
Natalyn has always called this place the "horse restaurant" because of the horse statue out front, but now "per Natalyn, she is much more older" and now calls it P.F. Changs. This made Scott and I really sad! Can I get a boo-hoo?

After filling her tummy up, it was time to eat some CAKE!! Natalyn decorated her own cake this year. She wanted a Rapunzel cake. So I had decided to make a lemon cake and use yellow lemon icing and the plan was to make it look like Rapunzel's braid and put flowers randomly around it. (if you have no idea what I am talking about, you obviously haven't seen Tangled and need to do so.) But ol'Nat-Nat wanted to help, so I just let her have at it. 40 flowers later and finished!! She was very proud!!While daddy was gathering the 2 million pieces needed to put the Barbie House together, Natalyn put on a little fashion show.Elia Rose (my little tinker) decided that she would skip dress-up time and help daddy.10 hours later (just kidding)

5 year pictures

Yesterday I took 5 year pictures of Natalyn. I can't believe that this is her last day as a 4 year old!!! Her favorite shoes are her red cowgirl boots, so I thought it was only fitting to have her wear them in her pics! Natalyn is sooooo excited to turn 5, she says it's a BIG GIRL number!ha Well, I have to agree, which makes me sad!

Dressing up

Last Friday the girls and I just stayed around the house. They so love dressing up and looking "fancy!" Below are some fashion designs by Natalyn.

Here is Elia looking like her favorite cartoon character, Minnie Mouse. The hole in the foot of her PJ's really pulls the outfit together!!Here is Natalyn looking "snow happy" in her hat and scarf. Her Ariel PJ's are very "ooh-lala!"

A day for Eliana Rose

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines!! Two days ago!!!

I gave the girls their Valentines right when they woke up. It really got Natalyn moving as she is not much of a morning person and we had to be at church early!!

Nothing interesting happened, just pretty much ate a lot of sweets all day long. Eliana loved her new puppy stuffed animal. I keep calling it "Blackie" because it is a black dog. Natalyn keeps calling it "Pinkie" because the ribbon on the dog is pink. Eliana keeps calling it "Uck"-which is yuck in Elia language.

Natalyn is one step closer to Kindergarten

Natalyn is now pre-registered for Kindergarten. I can't believe it!!! She will be going to the new elementary school, Willowbrook. It's funny how things play out, a few months ago I would have said that the school plan was Elm Tree or Providence. And now my answer is neither of those options. I drove Natalyn by her school last week and she is alittle worried because it obviously doesn't look like a school right now since it is still under construction. I tried to explain to her that soon the building will be "pretty" and there will be grass and a playground. I'm not sure I convinced her though.

We are moving!!--

Oh yes! We are moving.... eventually. We decided that we would put our house on the market and see what happens. Well, 3 weeks later we have a contract on our house and plan to close Feb 29th. The person who is buying our house plans to use it as a rental property so we are going to rent our own house month to month while we build a new house. I am sooooo happy because we don't have to move twice. We will have to paint the girls' rooms before we move out. Note the very green rooms below, that should be really fun to cover up!!!

Snow day-how original!!

I am a day late at posting the girls out in the snow. I titled this post "Snow Day" like EVERYONE else did on the planet-ha!!

Last winter, Elerz was only a few months old, so this was the first snow that she was actually aware of. When I opened the back door and she walked out, her eyes got so BIG! Her expression was like "Hey-this stuff was not here before!" At first she just walked around and then started mimicking anything Natalyn was doing. Natalyn was an old snow pro and worked on snow angels and construction of a snowman.

Seriously- 2010!!!!

I talked to my cousin today and she just flat out told me to start blogging again. I pulled up the ol'blog and noticed that the last post was in 2010!!! How sad!!! I would love to have the excuse that nothing has happened in the past two years, but as you know, that is NOT TRUE!!!
Here are some highlights of the last few years-(I am totally laughing OUT LOUD as I type this!)

#2-Loss of Scott's grandma (Mee-Maw)-his last grandparent and Loss of my Pappoo.
#3-Celebrated our 10th wedding anniv......................and 11th
#4-Celebrated new cousin-Liam Micah born July 2011
#5-Friends moving away/and or moving on.......
#6 God placing mentors/friends just in the right place at the right time

I'm sure there are more things to list, but I am just going off the top of my head. There are a ton of things going on currently that I will begin to post about in the next few days.....


It's good to be back and until next time...(which won't be two years from now-I promise!!!)
