SUYL-KITCHENS

Ok. So it's that time again for another SUYL-Kitchens link party hosted by my friend at KellysKorner.

My kitchen and eating area are two different rooms so I just added them both, since we don't have an actual formal dining area.  We put the hardwood floors in 6-7 yrs ago.  The original flooring was CARPET!!! You can only imagine what that looked like after only a few years (and that was BEFORE kiddos!)  My friend and I covered the seat cushions around that same time frame and I still love them!! The table and chairs were a wedding gift a million years ago.  That's about all I can say about this room.

The kitchen is total "builder grade" through and through.  I have never liked the counter tops, but green is my favorite color, so I had a lot of stuff that went with them, so they stayed.  Whenever we would talk about changing them out, something better always swayed our decision, like ....a vacation, or a baby, did I mention a vacation?......

The current excuse for not upgrading anything in the kitchen in 9 yrs is because we don't own this house anymore, we are renting it !! (good one, huh?)

The cookie recipe booklet was my grandma's (my Mammoo to be exact).  We used to love making choc chip cookies together.  I always played like the choc chips were teepee's! I have no idea why?!

Ok. The following pictures are of our future kitchen in our new house.
