KEEPING BUSY!!!!

I have nothing exciting (unless you think grocery shopping at Wal-mart is exciting) to report from our past weekend. But we did manage to keep pretty busy with just everyday stuff. The rain kept us in most of the time though!! (oh- you may think this is exciting, Natalyn picked her first booger and wiped it on my shirt!) Anyway, here are the high-lights of the weekend.
Here is Natalyn all dressed and ready to support those Sooners!! She raced in on her tricycle only to find out that the game and her nap time is at the same time!! OH-NO!!!!Sorry Natalyn!!! You can catch the next game!!!
(Ignore all the boxes in the room, Jaim-Jaim (That's what Natalyn calls Jaimi Edwards) and I had a garage sale on Friday, so that room was a mess on Saturday!!!

After Natalyn took her nap, she got to paint pumpkins. Natalyn has a book and the story is about painting pumpkins, she calls it her "punkin book." Oh, we read it about a million times a day. I have tried to skip pages to move the book along quicker, but she notices and calls me out on it every time!!!

Of course, Natalyn requested her favorite color PURPLE to paint with first!!

The finished product!!!

Here is a picture of Natalyn before leaving for evening church on Sunday. She has Pooh, a snack and a cartoon on TV (that's why I can't get her to look at me!). Life is good!!!!

Lately, Natalyn and I have really been working on her letter and number recognition. I made her an alphabet book that shows her the upper and lower case letters and also a number book. (I love the dye-cut machine at church and am there using it once a week since I discovered it!!) The book Natalyn is looking at has holes to put Cheerios in and then you can count the amount. Natalyn is counting a little and snacking a little, ok, maybe it is more like counting a little and snacking A LOT!! Once the cereal is gone, she is finished with her lesson!!!

Here is Natalyn counting, it goes something like this-----
"One, Two, Three, Crunch, Crunch, Four......"
YUMMMMOOO!!!!

DIY

Ok. I have complained about our dining room for a year or two, so over Labor Day weekend I finally got around to painting it. When I first painted this room red (6 yrs ago) I didn't realize how hard it would be to coordinate with the living room. I just couldn't ever get it to look right. Natalyn has hit the corners of the walls several times over the past few years and you CAN'T touch-up red. Basically, it was just driving me CRAZY. Here are some BEFORE photos!!!

I put Scott and Natalyn to work as well. Scott accidentally touched the ceiling with his roller, so he had to end up painting the ceiling too. I like the walls and ceiling the same color though. I think it looks really good!!

NO MORE RED!!!YIPEEEE!!!!!

With the dining room finally painted, I decided to redecorate the room and finally finish the living room that I started redoing back in February.

Scott's mom got us these picture letters for Christmas and this last weekend I finally found a frame that I liked for them to go in. This now hangs proudly in our entryway.(I got the frame at Kirklands.)

Here are the "after" pictures of the dining room. I know the wall color is very plain, but it is so much easier to decorate with.

I am always on the search for a bargain. I refuse to pay full price for anything. I am proud to say that I got all this decorations for this wall for only $37.00!!

I am finally finished with the living room!!! I think it looks really cozy!!

JUMP ZONE!!

JUMP ZONE TIME!!!!
On Wednesday, Natalyn and I met Mia and her mommy Katie for a morning of fun at Jump Zone!! Natalyn LOVES this place, as you can see in the photo, Natalyn is literally a bundle of energy!!!
SMILE!!!!

Natalyn and Mia!!!

Bouncy-Bouncy!!!

YIPEEEEE!!!!

PLAYING WITH BARBIE DOLLS!

I have to first mention that I LOVED playing with Barbie dolls when I was a little girl. I think I literally played with Barbie dolls until I was 12 years old. Natalyn's grandma cleaned out a trunk at her house and found these and passed them on to Natalyn to enjoy. We have been spending at good part of our days playing tea party with the dolls. Natalyn likes to serve spaghetti, water, milk and cake (no tea) to the dolls at their party. Natalyn calls the dolls "Darbies" instead of "Barbies", she's funny like that!!! I'm glad that the dolls are actually clothed in these pictures, Natalyn seems to think that clothing is optional for the dolls, but that they must wear shoes at all times. The blonde Barbie got to run errands with us yesterday wearing only hot pink pumps and a yellow headband!!!

POOR SOONERS!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE SOONERS!?!?!
Here is Natalyn all dressed for the first game of the season. She was so excited to get to watch an OU football game with her daddy!!
(Below: Natalyn with a serious look on her face when Sam Bradford got injured)
The game is not looking so good for the ol' SOONERS!!
(Natalyn could not even bring herself to hold her pom poms anymore!)

See the anger in her eyes when she saw the FINAL SCORE!!
OH NO-POOR SOONERS!!!

HOPEFULLY, NEXT GAME ENDS BETTER!!!

JUST BEING SILLY!

(OK. I first need to mention that I just figured out how to type above the first photo
on my post!! I am super excited!)
Over the past few days I have caught Natalyn doing goofy stuff. I would laugh as I ran to get my camera to capture the moment! Here are some of the high-lights!!!
Here is Natalyn praying with socks on her hands!
She is really proud of herself and when she was wearing the socks on her hands she would refer to herself as "Princess Natalyn."
The socks had to go with us in the car to run a few errands!

Last night, I put Natalyn on the potty and came back around the corner to check on her and this is what I saw!! She took off her pull-up and her shorts and decided to wear her shorts as a head wrap!

Natalyn is NOT using her "inside voice" at this time!!

Natalyn just looks so old in this picture. Her hair is really starting to get pretty long!

She thinks it is sooo funny that her hair will stand straight up in the air with soap in it. We usually have to wash her hair 2-3 times now because she thinks it is hilarious!!
